Krista Johnson Memorial Run for Change

The Krista Johnson Memorial Run for Change has taken place at Riverside Park in Pembroke ON since 2012, to promote Krista’s legacy of healthy lifestyles among our community’s youth.
Over the last couple of years, the pandemic had impacted the plans for this annual fundraiser for the Elevate Youth Wellness Centre, so instead Krista’s brother Brad decided to raise funds through community donations and run from Ottawa to Pembroke in June of 2021! Although the support was amazing, we missed our community running together at Riverside Park. June of 2022 was the return of our in-person event! Now Let’s lace up the running shoes and join us in 2023!
