Phoenix Centre Searching for a New Logo Through an Open Competition

In 1985, an organization called Renfrew County Youth Services decided it would like to find a new name that better represented the work it did in relation to child, youth and family mental health.  After exploring a number of options, The Board of Directors selected The Phoenix Centre for Children and Families to become the new name.

Phoenix was selected as it accurately represented the journey of healing which children, youth and families go through in their process of change.  Like the Phoenix, the process of change is not easy, but when it is complete there is renewal and rebirth in a better form than before.

Shortly after selecting the name, a competition was held to find a graphic to use along with its new name.   A high school student who had used the Phoenix Centre services was selected as the winner and that logo has been since 1985.

The Phoenix Centre would like to refresh the agency Logo as a part of a branding exercise to have the Phoenix image renewed so that it more current and engaging.
