YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH COURT WORKER PROGRAM

The Youth Mental Health Court Worker (YMHCW) provides support to youth (aged 12-17) who are involved with the Youth Justice Court and are presenting with symptoms of mental health issues. The YMHCW will provide an assessment to the Youth Justice Court, determining whether the youth is suitable for the diversion program and recommendations for referrals to community resources. Assistance to the youth and their family may include referrals to appropriate community services, transportation (if required) and navigation of the court system.
